Marrekus Wilkes Sr. has been working in the field of information technology since 2002. Marrekus began their career as an Information Technology Specialist and Website Developer for the United States Air Force. In 2008, they were promoted to Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the Installation Spectrum Management Office, where they managed complex radio frequency and electronic warfare events for the Department of Defense Area Frequency Coordinator. Marrekus also provided spectrum policy and directives to the sole stateside Air Expeditionary Wing mission and 10 major joint and combined exercises per year. In 2016, they moved to the United States Air Force Central Command as a Theater Spectrum Manager, where they were responsible for radio frequency coordination as an official U.S. representative. From 2019 to 2021, they worked for the Defense Spectrum Organization as a Joint Battlefield Spectrum Manager. Most recently, they have been working as a JETS Analyst for Expression Networks LLC since 2021.
Marrekus Wilkes Sr. attended Wooddale High School from 1997 to 2001, and in 2016 they completed an Associate's degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services from the Community College of the Air Force. In 2017, they obtained a Professional Management Certification from the Community College of the Air Force and in 2009 they obtained a CompTIA A+ certification from CompTIA.
