Alesia Jung's work experience includes roles as a Scientist at Exponent starting in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at the University of Arizona as a Postdoctoral Researcher from June 2021 to January 2023 and as a Graduate Research Assistant from May 2015 to June 2021, where they served as a Program Coordinator for multiple firefighter cancer and health studies. Alesia also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Arizona from August 2014 to May 2015. Alesia has previous experience as a Research Associate at Calgene Inc, where they investigated gene expression and contributed to the development of treatment for corn rootworm from November 2012 to August 2013. Alesia's early experience includes working as a Biologist I at Seminis, where they performed quality control testing on vegetable seed and conducted DNA extraction and testing for pathogenic bacteria from September 2011 to November 2012.

Alesia Jung pursued their education in a chronological manner, beginning with their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Environmental Toxicology from the University of California, Davis from 2007 to 2011. Following this, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Epidemiology from the University of Arizona, attending from 2014 to 2016. Alesia then furthered their education at the same university, completing their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Epidemiology from 2016 to 2021.
