Aine Hearty has a diverse work experience in the field of food safety and regulatory affairs. Aine started their career in 2008 as a Project Manager at the Institute of Food & Health, University College Dublin. Aine managed the FACET project, which focused on developing a software tool for exposure assessments to food flavorings, additives, and food contact materials. In 2011, Aine joined Intertek Cantox as an Intake Specialist, where they worked until 2015. Their role involved handling intake procedures. In 2016, Aine joined Exponent as a Managing Scientist, specializing in food safety and regulatory affairs in Europe.
Aine Hearty completed a BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics at Technological University Dublin from 1998 to 2002. Afterwards, they pursued an MSc in Public Health Nutrition at Trinity College Dublin from 2004 to 2005. Aine then went on to obtain a PhD in Public Health Nutrition from University College Dublin, which they completed from 2006 to 2008.
