In May 2018, Nathaniel “Sandy” Paige joined Explora BioLabs as CEO, where he splits his time between Explora’s operations in San Diego and San Francisco. Before joining Explora, Sandy successfully expanded global relationships and distribution for JAX Mice & Clinical Research Services while he was the Director of International Sales & Distribution at Sacramento’s Jackson Laboratory. Over the course of a decade in Sacramento, California with JAX, he also served as Director of Business Development as well as Senior Site Director during the closing of one site while simultaneously opening a much larger facility, both on budget and on schedule. Sandy was intimately involved with financing growth at JAX West, strategic planning for JAX, and was Chairman of JAX West’s IACUC Committee.

Prior to joining JAX, Sandy was General Manager of Knight-Celotex, a plant that manufactures construction products 24/7/365 in Lisbon Falls, ME. Previously, he was VP of Administration for the Neptune Regional Transmission System during its development stages and the subsequent $650M project financing. Earlier in his career, Sandy acted as financial analyst and controller for Cianbro Development Corporation and Atlantic Energy Partners, a subsidiary of The Cianbro Companies. He also held positions in corporate marketing at Fairchild Semiconductor and served as personal assistant to Maine’s Governor Angus King (I).

Sandy received a B.A. from Middlebury College in Vermont and an M.B.A. from Babson College in Massachusetts.
