Steve Arndt, Ph.D., CHFP has extensive work experience in the field of human factors, human performance, and ergonomics associated with industrial and occupational safety, driver/operator performance, and consumer product design. Steve served as the Principal and Co-CEO at Explico since 2015, where they provided consultation in accident investigation and prevention related to consumer and industrial products. Prior to this, they worked at Exponent as a Principal from 1996 to 2015, focusing on consumer and occupational product safety development, accident analysis, and prevention. Their career began at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1989, where they were a Graduate Student until 1996.

Steve Arndt, Ph.D., CHFP completed their education at various institutions. Steve obtained a Ph.D., MSIE in Industrial Engineering - Human Factors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they studied from 1989 to 1996. Steve also earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Psychology from UW-Madison during the same period. Prior to pursuing higher education, Steve attended McFarland High School. In addition to their academic qualifications, they hold certifications such as being a Certified Human Factors Professional, obtained from the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics in January 2010. Steve also possesses certifications in OSHA Qualified Aerial Device Safety Trainer, OSHA Qualified Forklift Safety Trainer, and OSHA Qualified Team Leader for Process Safety Hazard Analysis, although the specific institution and the dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
