Cameron Matthews has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. They are currently the Co-Founder and Account Director at Cheeseburgers After Midnight, a position they have held since December 2022. Prior to this, they were also the Co-Founder and Account Director at Experience Fresh | Digital Marketing + Creative, starting in November 2022.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Matthews worked at MADE BY DAS as the Director of Audience Development from March 2020 to November 2022, and as a Growth Marketer from February 2019 to March 2020. They developed and managed digital marketing strategies and handled B2C communications for all tentpole concerts and tours at Blackbird Presents as an Audience Development and Editorial Manager from May 2017 to April 2019.

Matthews also has experience as an Editor, managing columnists and social media channels at No Depression from November 2016 to May 2017. Additionally, they served as the Editorial Director (formerly Managing Editor) at The Bluegrass Situation from May 2014 to March 2016, where they increased website traffic significantly.

Earlier in their career, Matthews held positions at Evergreene Music as an A&R and Operations manager from December 2013 to May 2014, where they negotiated live representation for flagship artists and secured a showcase at SXSW 2014. They also worked as a Full-Time Freelancer, handling writing and consulting projects for AOL TV and Noisey from May 2013 to May 2014.

Before their freelancing work, Matthews was an Associate Editor at AOL Music from February 2011 to April 2013. They wrote and edited daily news stories, curated music content, and conducted on-camera interviews for various websites under AOL Music. Matthews also interned at Insound from August 2010 to December 2010, where they processed vinyl records and wrote product and album reviews.
