Paul Wagner is an accomplished educator and author with extensive experience in wine marketing, sales, and appreciation. Wagner has served as an instructor at Napa Valley College since 1995, where courses on wine marketing and cultural appreciation are taught. As a prolific author, Wagner's works include a series of mysteries set in California's Sierra Nevada, as well as insightful books on wine sales and marketing. In addition to teaching and writing, Wagner plays an active role in the wine community as a senior advisory for wine tourism at Expedia Cruises and co-hosts the show BottleTalk with Rick and Paul. Wagner's expertise is recognized through awards, including the Gourmand International Prize for best wine book for professionals in 2007. Formerly the founder of Balzac Communications, Wagner is now retired but continues to contribute to consulting. Educationally, Wagner attended the University of California, Santa Cruz, focusing on sociology and education.
