Rachel Van Tyle has a diverse work experience, primarily in the legal field. Rachel is currently serving as the Director of Legal Services at Exodus Refugee Immigration since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic for a significant period, holding multiple roles including Director of Immigrant Services from October 2017 to March 2021, Staff Attorney from July 2012 to March 2021, and Volunteer Attorney from November 2011 to July 2012. Rachel also gained legal experience through their internships at Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence in 2010 and Society of St. Vincent de Paul in 2010. In addition to their legal career, they briefly worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Kunkel Pharmacy from January 2008 to August 2008 and at CVS Caremark Corporation from May 2006 to August 2006.

Rachel Van Tyle has a diverse education history. Rachel first attended Kukulcan Educational Spanish Community in 2011, where they studied Spanish. In 2008, they enrolled in Northern Kentucky University—Salmon P. Chase College of Law, where they obtained their Juris Doctor degree. Before that, from 2004 to 2008, Rachel attended Xavier University, where they earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts. Rachel'seducation journey began at Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School, where they obtained an Indiana Honors Diploma from 2000 to 2004.
