Marko Akselin is a seasoned telecommunications professional with over two decades of experience in software engineering, particularly in mobile and IoT technologies. Currently serving as a Senior System Engineer at EXFO since July 2023, Marko focuses on the 5G system and network testing. Previous roles include Protocol Software Engineer at Mediatek Finland Oy, where work concentrated on LTE, NB-IOT, and 5G technologies. Marko's background includes positions at Broadcom and multiple roles at Nokia, where significant contributions involved high-level designs for control and user planes in the UE modem domain. Marko began the career at Elektrobit, contributing to communications software for both defense and civil sectors. Marko holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oulu.
