Joel Beauvais, JD, MBA, currently serves as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Exelon, where responsibilities have included roles in litigation and environmental health and safety since joining in June 2019. Prior to this, Joel held various significant positions at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency from 2011 to 2016, including Deputy Assistant Administrator for Water and Associate Administrator for Policy. Joel's legal career includes a partnership at Latham & Watkins LLP, where tenure lasted from 2017 to 2019, and earlier roles at the House Committee on Energy and Commerce and the House Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming. With law clerk experience for Justice Sandra Day O'Connor and Judge Harry T. Edwards, education credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Yale University, a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law, and an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
