Michelle Borth has a diverse work experience that spans several companies and roles. Michelle started their career at McAuley-Seton Home Care as a Quality Assurance RN from March 1998 to June 2000. Michelle then worked at Frederick Memorial Hospital as a Home Health Services Coordinator from September 2000 to August 2005. Michelle joined Univera Healthcare in April 2007 and held various positions including Utilization Management Reviewer, RN Case Manager, and Manager/Supervisor of Safety Net Clinical Services until April 2016. Borth then moved to Excellus BCBS, where they worked as the Accreditation, Compliance and Quality Administrator from April 2016 to January 2019. Michelle later served as the Director of Health Care Improvement from January 2019 to November 2020, and as the Director of Federal Employee Program Clinical Operations from November 2020 to November 2022. Currently, Borth holds the position of Senior Clinical Director of Integrated CM at Excellus BCBS, starting in July 2022.
Michelle Borth completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from SUNY at Buffalo, which they attended from 1987 to 1993.
In 2014, Michelle pursued professional development in the healthcare industry by completing the Academy for Healthcare Management and America's Health Insurance Plans program. Michelle also obtained certification as a Case Manager from The Commission for Case Manager Certification in the same year.
Additionally, Michelle has obtained several certifications in various areas. In November 2021, they obtained a certification in Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn. Earlier in the year, in March 2021, they completed a course on Collaborative Leadership from LinkedIn. In January 2021, Michelle obtained a certification in Strategic Planning Foundations, also from LinkedIn.
