Johan van der Werf has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in finance, operations, and management. Johan is currently the VP Finance for Operations at Excelitas Technologies Corp. Prior to that, they worked at Lumileds for over a decade, where they held roles such as Sr Director of Finance, Director of Manufacturing Engineering, and Director of Operations. Johan successfully managed large teams and was responsible for overseeing production, industrial engineering, lean manufacturing, and product line ownership. Johan also served as a Senior Program Manager and Senior Operations Manager at previous companies, where they were involved in ramping up major NPI programs, optimizing operations, and improving overall efficiency. Johan started their career at Philips Lighting as a Six Sigma Black Belt and Supply Chain Consultant, where they implemented process improvements and optimized the manufacturing and supply chain processes. Overall, Johan van der Werf has a strong background in finance, operations, and project management, with a focus on driving efficiency and achieving operational targets.

Johan van der Werf has a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Strategic Management and Logistic Management from Tilburg University, which they obtained in 2006. In 2005, they also attended the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business for an MBA program. Johan completed their undergraduate studies at Tilburg University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Business/Managerial Economics in 2005. In terms of professional development, Johan pursued various courses at Stanford Continuing Studies, focusing on Product Management, Negotiation Mastery, and Futurism. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Lean Manufacturing from Van Goubergen P&M Productivity Improvement (Belgium), Six Sigma Black Belt from Philips Lighting, Supply Chain Management Academy from Philips Lighting, and VDA 6.3 Process Audit from VDA.
