Anna Batler has extensive experience in education and legal assistance. Currently a teacher at EXCEL Academy Public Charter School since August 2012, Anna specializes in teaching reading remediation and language arts to 7th and 8th graders, and designs lesson plans aligned with Maryland state standards and common core. Previous teaching experience includes instructing 6th grade social studies and 5th grade remedial math at Hebrew Day Institute, along with tutoring literacy to 3rd and 4th grade students at The Literacy Lab. In the legal field, Anna has held various roles, including a legal volunteer at Womenslaw, a research assistant at George Washington University, a law intern at New York Legal Assistance Group, and a legal research intern at National Advocates for Pregnant Women. Anna holds a Juris Doctor degree from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Rutgers University.
