Nelson Lee has worked in various finance and accounting positions since 1996. Nelson began their career at Lockheed Martin as a Senior Financial Analyst in Corporate Treasury, where they managed and reported on the corporation's $6B foreign currency business activities. In 1999, they moved to SGI as Manager of Treasury Services, where they managed cash management activities, including bank operations, funding accounts and cash investments. In 2000, they joined iScribe, Inc. as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), where they developed financial models for planning, forecasting, strategic decision making and corporate financing. From 2001 to 2004, they worked as a Financial Consultant, providing financial planning and strategic financing consulting to high growth venture backed companies. In 2004, they were a Consultant at Yahoo, Inc., providing financial planning and reporting support to Communications & Communities and Front Doors business units. In 2007, they joined imeem as Director of Finance, where they directed finance, accounting and operations support to a growth stage social media network. From 2009 to 2015, they worked at Crescendo Bioscience as a Finance and Accounting Consultant, developing operating budgets and 5+ year financial plans to support strategic decision making. From 2015 to 2019, they were the Senior Director of Finance and Administration at Evidation Health, where they established and managed the finance team and developed all financial controls and processes. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Exai Bio as Chief Administrative Officer, where they lead all finance, accounting and people operations for the liquid biopsy start up.

Nelson Lee has a MBA from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business, where they studied Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Intl Business. Nelson also has a BS in Business Administration from Drexel University. Nelson obtained their diploma from Gonzaga College High School. Additionally, they obtained a Governance Excellence Program certification from the Silicon Valley Executive Center in June 2020.
