Derek Davies has over 41 years of experience in the structural steel industry, holding various positions including structural steel detailer, checker, project coordinator, chief draftsman, and design supervisor. Currently, as a Project Manager at Exact Detailing Ltd since March 2021, Derek manages projects with expertise in design documentation and control. Previously, Derek served as Operations Manager at TDS Industrial Ltd. and held the role of Manager of Design Documentation and Control at Dynamic Structures from June 2013 to June 2019, overseeing a multi-disciplined team in creating 3D models and shop drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD for complex design-build projects. Additionally, Derek worked as a Project Manager at Candraft Detailing Inc from 2003 to 2013, demonstrating a comprehensive background in practical and cost-effective design solutions for diverse structural systems.
