Stefan Dohler has a strong background in the energy industry, with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Stefan currently serves as the CEO of EWE AG, a position they have held since 2018. Prior to that, they were with Vattenfall, where they served as the CFO and a member of the executive board from 2005 to 2017. Stefan also held the role of Managing Director at Vattenfall Europe Transmission GmbH from 2005 to 2008. Before joining Vattenfall, Dohler held leadership positions at BEWAG AG & Co. KG UND HEW AG and HEW AG. Stefan began their career as a project manager at Lahmeyer International and later worked as a project manager at Blohm+Voss.

Stefan Dohler completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University in 1998. Prior to that, they obtained a Diplom-Ingenieur degree from Aachen University of Applied Sciences - FH Aachen in 1992. In 1988, Stefan also received a degree as a Nautisch-, technischer Offiziersassistent/ Schiffsmechaniker from Hapag Lloyd AG.
