Patrick de Jong has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Their most recent role is as a Software Engineer at EVS Broadcast Equipment, starting in August 2022. Prior to this, from August 2021 to July 2022, they worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at Evoke and Ivium Technologies.

Before entering the software field, Patrick gained experience as an Urban Designer at various companies. Patrick worked at Sensor Maritime from February 2021 to June 2021, where they designed and implemented an application for a universal embedded maritime system. Patrick also designed and implemented a hardware validation application using technologies such as C, Infineon XMC4000, and C#.

Prior to that, they worked at Prodrive Technologies as a Designer from August 2019 to January 2020, and also had a short-term role as a Designer in July 2019. Their responsibilities at Prodrive Technologies included converting library codebase from FreeRTOS to Amazon FreeRTOS and establishing a connection to the Amazon AWS IoT MQTT Broker.

In addition to their software and design work, Patrick has worked as an Urban Designer at CroonenBuro5 from September 2018 to July 2019, at CroonenBuro5 from January 2017 to August 2017, at Kokon Architectuur & Stedenbouw from December 2015 to March 2016, at Viewpoint in May 2014, and at Gemeente Oosterhout from September 2012 to December 2012.

Patrick de Jong completed their Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science from Avans University of Applied Sciences between 2017 and 2021. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2017, they attended Koning Willem I College, where they pursued studies in Urban Design.
