Jong Shin has a diverse work experience starting from 2005. Jong began their career as an Avionic Communication and Electronic Engineer at the 602nd UH-60 Aviation Battalion in the ROK Army. During this time, they developed logistic management and maintenance management software for UH-60 helicopters. In 2008, Jong worked as a Junior Software Developer at Winnerdigm before joining ChoiceOne EHR Inc. and PremierOne Plus MSO in 2009 as a Full Stack Software Engineer. At ChoiceOne, they played a significant role in the development of ChoiceOne EHR and PHR systems. In 2016, Jong became a Lead Application Developer at HealthCare Information Management, Inc. (HCIM) and recently joined Evry Health in 2021, still working in the same position.

Jong Shin completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at California State University, Long Beach from 2004 to 2010. In terms of additional certifications, they received the Sun Certified Java Programmer certification from Sun Microsystems in July 2008. Furthermore, they obtained several Microsoft certifications, including MCSD: App Builder in September 2016, MCSD: Web Applications in September 2015, MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional in June 2015, MS: Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 in June 2015, and Microsoft Specialist in June 2015.
