Rama Ranganathan is the main inventor of sequence-based computational algorithms for molecular design, the developer of cutting-edge methods for rapid, cost-efficient, automated gene synthesis, and the scientist that helped start the rapidly growing technologies for deep-sequencing coupled high-throughput biochemical assays. He is responsible for defining and establishing scientific direction, strategy and implementation for Evozyne. In addition, Rama is a Joseph Regenstein Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering, and the College at the University of Chicago. Rama holds an M.D. and Ph.D. in neuroscience from UC San Diego.
