Lisa Hochrein has over 18 years of work experience in the scientific research field. Lisa is currently working at Evozyne as the Principal Scientist, leading a team responsible for gene synthesis, molecular biology, protein expression, mammalian tissue culture, and the sample archive. Prior to Evozyne, they worked at Caltech as a Research Scientist and a Postdoctoral Scholar, focusing on research projects related to their doctoral studies. Lisa also worked as a Doctoral Researcher during their time at Caltech. Additionally, Lisa has experience as an M.S. Graduate Research Assistant at the California Institute of Technology and as a Biochemical Engineering Cooperative Education Student at Genentech.
Lisa Hochrein completed their Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a Biotechnology option at the University of California, Berkeley from 1999 to 2004. Lisa then pursued their Master of Science in Chemical Engineering at Caltech, which they completed in 2009. Finally, Lisa obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Biology from Caltech in 2013.
