Massimiliano Fonsi has a strong background in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Massimiliano is currently the VP DMPK Projects at Evotec, a position they started in June 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Charles River Laboratories as a Senior Director DMPK from June 2019 to July 2022. Massimiliano also has extensive experience at Citoxlab, where they held multiple roles including Group Director DMPK in vitro, Director of DMPK - Bioanalysis - Pharmaceutical Preparation and Formulation Analysis, and Director of DMPK department, from July 2014 to July 2022. Before Citoxlab, they were the Head of ADME at IRBM Science Park S.p.A from December 2012 to May 2014. Massimiliano also worked as a Principal DMPK Scientist in Drug Discovery (in vivo PK & PK/PD) at UCB from September 2010 to November 2012, and as a laboratory head DMPK at Addex Pharmaceuticals from April 2009 to September 2010. Their career started at merck, where they served as a Principal Investigator from February 2002 to April 2009. Prior to that, they worked as a Staff chemist at Sigma-Tau Research, Inc. Their experience spans various roles and responsibilities, highlighting their expertise in drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics.

Massimiliano Fonsi pursued their education at the Sapienza Università di Roma from 1990 to 1996, where they successfully earned a degree in chemistry with a remarkable achievement of 110/110 cum laude.
