Michael Molek

Executive Director of Global Projects/Operations Consultant at Evolve Collective

Michael Molek has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several years. Michael most recently served as the Executive Director of Global Projects/Operations Consultant at Evolve Collective starting in August 2021. Prior to that, from 2018 to 2022, they worked as the Vice President of Projects/Business Development on a contract basis for MadMackenzie Solutions. In this role, they focused on strategic business development and growth, establishing customer relationships, and executing projects in various locations.

Before their time at MadMackenzie Solutions, Michael worked as a Senior Consulting Project Manager on a contract with Reagent Chemical & Research from 2017 to 2018. Here, they provided ad-hoc services to executive leadership, supported terminal site projects, and mentored team members.

From 2013 to 2016, Michael held the position of Sr. Project Manager Offshore at Bechtel Corporation. In this role, they successfully delivered major projects with Chevron and developed an offshore project management group with 80 reports representing 17 different cultures. Michael was responsible for building and overseeing the project management team.

Prior to Bechtel Corporation, they worked at GL Noble Denton from 2010 to 2013 as a Process Improvement Manager. Here, they focused on continuous process improvement, stakeholder relations, and led a team of matrixed reports across multiple locations.

In 2009, Michael was the Global Director of Projects at DeepFlex, where they were responsible for all aspects of the projects, including business development, risk mitigation, and global deployment of project management infrastructure.

From 2002 to 2009, they served as a Project Manager at FMC Technologies, overseeing projects in the Gulf of Mexico and international locations. Michael played a key role in the success of the Shell Perdido project, managing subsea equipment and facilitating cross-project teamwork.

Michael's earlier experience includes working as a Project Manager at Konecranes from 1995 to 2002, where they managed onsite projects and led a cross-functional team. Michael also worked as a Project/Mechanical Engineer at A.D. Morton Company, Inc from 1993 to 1995.

Additionally, Michael gained valuable experience as an Engineering Lab Assistant at The University of Akron from 1991 to 1994. Michael supported grant studies in the Biomedical Engineering Department and led the design and testing of a knee brace.

Michael Molek earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Akron in 1994. In 2008, they obtained a Master's Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University. Michael has also acquired various certifications including an Associate Project Manager Certification from Bechtel Corporation in 2014, an IADC RIG Pass / Safe Gulf certification from Occupational Safety Training, Inc. in 2012, an Engineering Intern (EIT) certification from The State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors of the State of Ohio in 1994, a TWIC certification from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in 2012, a BOSIET certification from Occupational Safety Training, Inc. in 2012, and multiple APICS module certifications from FMC Technologies.
