Tom Shallcross has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Tom started their career as a Suspension Engineer at HYPED, where they contributed to the design, manufacture, and assembly of the team's second pod prototype for the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition. Tom then advanced to the position of Head of Suspension, overseeing the suspension system of the team's project.

Following their time at HYPED, Tom joined Tetra Engineering Group Inc. as a Project Engineering Intern, where they gained practical experience in project management and engineering.

Afterwards, Tom took on the role of a Graduate Applications Engineer at Industrial Vision Systems Ltd, where they provided technical support and assistance to customers. Tom then progressed to the position of Applications Engineer, responsible for identifying and implementing solutions for customer requirements.

Currently, Tom is working as a Design Engineer at Evolito Ltd. with a focus on utilizing their engineering skills for design projects.

Tom Shallcross attended Ellesmere College from 2015 to 2017, where they pursued a degree in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics. Following their time at Ellesmere College, Tom went on to study Mechanical Engineering at The University of Edinburgh from 2017 to 2021, focusing on the field of Mechanical Engineering.
