Marko Å iftar started their career in 2012 as a Web Developer / Technical Support at Exceptional Cloud Services. In 2013, they worked as a Web Developer at Rackspace, the Open Cloud Company. At the same time, they also worked as a Scholarship job at Siemens. From 2014 to 2016, they served as an Advanced IMS Integrator at Siemens. In 2015, they joined Airbrake.io as a Software Engineer and worked there until 2021. Afterwards, they joined LogicMonitor as a Senior Software Engineer and held this position until 2023. Currently, they are working as a Senior Software Engineer at Evo Security.

Marko Å iftar obtained their Bachelor of Science in Computing from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb between the years 2008 and 2012. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science in Information and communication technology with a specialization in Telecommunications and Informatics at the same institution from 2012 to 2014.
