Pooja Mandke, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in research and academia. In 2012, they started their career as a Research Technologist at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where they worked on maintaining mouse colonies and mastering micro-surgery techniques until 2014. From 2016 to 2022, they were a Graduate Student Researcher and Research Fellow at The University of Texas at Austin, focusing on understanding the role of alternative DNA structures in cancer-associated genetic instability. During this time, they also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Currently, they work at Evive Biotech as a Scientist I in the Discovery Biology department.

Pooja began their academic journey at Savitribai Phule Pune University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Microbiology, General from 2004 to 2007. Building upon their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Microbiology, General from the same university, graduating in 2009.
Seeking further specialization, Pooja pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Wright State University. Pooja successfully completed this program from 2010 to 2012, enhancing their knowledge in the field.
Driven by their passion for research, Pooja enrolled at The University of Texas at Austin in 2015 to pursue a doctoral degree. Pooja engaged in rigorous studies and research in the field of Cell and Molecular Biology, ultimately attaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in 2022.
