Lichuan Liu, MD, PhD has a diverse range of work experience. Lichuan is currently serving as the Senior VP and Global Head of Early Clinical Development and Medical Affairs, as well as the Project Team Leader at Evive Biotech since September 2021. Previously, they worked at Zai Lab from June 2019 to August 2021, where they held the position of Executive Director and Head of Clinical Pharmacology, while also serving as a Project Team Leader. Dr. Liu has a significant background in research and academia, having worked at Genentech from December 2006 to May 2019 as an Associate Scientist, Scientist, and Senior Scientist in DMPK/Clinical Pharmacology. During their time at Genentech, they also served as the Pharmacology Subteam Leader. Prior to that, Dr. Liu completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences from 2001 to 2002. Lichuan also held a postdoctoral position at the University of Alabama at Birmingham's Liver Center from 1999 to 2001. Dr. Liu commenced their career as a Surgical Resident at Tianjin Third Central Hospital's Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery from 1994 to 1999. Additionally, they have been an Editorial Board Member of ASCPT's Clinical and Translational Science (CTS) since January 2020.
Lichuan Liu, MD, PhD received their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Clinical Medicine from Tianjin Medical University, where they studied from 1989 to 1994. Later, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Pharmacokinetics/Modeling and Simulation at the University of Toronto, completing their studies from 2002 to 2006.
