Magda E. Sanchez, MD FACC has a diverse range of work experience. From 2005 to 2014, they worked in a private practice, providing expert diagnostic and therapeutic care to patients with cardiovascular diseases. During this time, they maintained extensive knowledge of cardiovascular pharmacotherapy. In 2014, they joined the Orlando VA Medical Center as a Staff Cardiologist, where they chaired the CPR Committee, led the Non Invasive Cardiovascular laboratory, and supervised residents and nurse practitioners. In 2020, they briefly worked as a Medical Writer for Kaplan before becoming an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in 2012. Their role involved teaching and supervising resident physicians in internal medicine and contributing to the establishment of a new Internal Medicine Residency program. Most recently, they started working as a Medical Director at eviCore healthcare in 2021, where they are responsible for ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines and appropriate delivery of care to plan members. Magda E. serves as a cardiology subject matter expert and applies medical decision-making in determining medical necessity for requested studies and procedures.

Magda E. Sanchez, MD FACC has a diverse education history. Magda E. obtained a Doctor of Medicine - MD degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 1999, following a Bachelor of Science - BS degree from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras in 1995. Magda E. completed their Internal Medicine Residency Program from 1999 to 2003 at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, and subsequently completed a Cardiovascular Disease Residency Program from 2003 to 2005 at the same institution. Magda also pursued further education, earning a Certificate in Health Care Economics from Harvard Medical School in 2021 and a Certificate in Laboratory Director Program from Cola Resources Inc in 2021. Magda E. holds various certifications, including Cardiovascular Diseases Board Certification and Internal Medicine Board Certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Additionally, they possess a Florida Medical License and is certified in CPR & AED.
