Bryce McLeod has extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and consultancy. Bryce is currently working as a Senior Engineer II at EverQuote. Prior to that, they worked for Codory as a Software Engineering Consultant from October 2013 to August 2021. During their time at Codory, Bryce was involved in multiple projects focused on media workflow design, implementation, commissioning, testing, and support for broadcast operations.
Before Codory, Bryce worked at Mediasmiths, where they held two roles. Bryce was a Senior Software Engineer from May 2013 to October 2013, responsible for developing and supporting media asset management systems and associated workflow orchestration. Additionally, Bryce worked as a Solutions Developer at Mediasmiths from September 2011 to April 2013, leading the development team for Foxtel's tapeless migration project - The Content Factory. In this role, they automated the ingest of incoming media, performed quality control checks, and facilitated playout through transcoding.
Bryce's earlier experience includes working as a Research Student at Queen's University Belfast from September 2010 to September 2011. Bryce focused on a high-performance computing project, achieving significant performance improvements in electron scattering simulations by optimizing general program techniques. Additionally, they provided tutoring, marking, and lab demonstrations for undergraduate courses.
Bryce started their career at Ecom Software Limited, where they held two roles. Bryce worked as a Software Developer from August 2008 to June 2009, and prior to that, they were a Placement Student from August 2007 to August 2008. At Ecom Software, Bryce was involved in the development, testing, and support of various management information systems for public and private sector clients, utilizing technologies such as ASP, ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, Javascript, IIS, and Windows Server.
Bryce McLeod obtained their MEng degree in Computer Science from Queen's University Belfast, where they pursued their studies from 2005 to 2010.
