Eva M. Luo, MD, MBA, FACOG is an obstetrician and gynecologist dedicated to innovation in women's health. Whether in the US or abroad, she is interested in developing solutions to make it easier for patients to be treated as full human beings and helping them to live up to their full potential. She received her MD at the University of Michigan and completed her MBA at Harvard Business School. Her work spans the breadth of value in healthcare from the development and assessment of novel care delivery models, cost-effectiveness evaluation of care delivery interventions, and incorporation of human-centered design and other methodologies in clinical care design.
Her leadership and academic work in health systems are highlighted by working as Special Assistant to Dr. Donald Berwick, then CEO of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, spending time in Ghana researching the impact of obstetricians on the management of rural district hospitals as a William Davidson Institute Global Impact Fellow, research projects looking at Time-Driven Activity-Based Costing at Partners in Health in Haiti, leading efforts behind "Project Joy: Redesigning the Pregnancy Experience"--an initiative to use human-centered design to improve prenatal care, and leading research in value in healthcare at the Center for Healthcare Delivery Science at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She is currently Director of Clinical Innovation and Product Design at Cityblock.
