Derek Monaghan is a Senior Platform Engineer at Everbridge, where responsibilities include developing an Internal Developer Platform utilizing Python, GitlabCI, and Spinnaker to facilitate CI/CD for microservices on the EKS platform. Derek has also served as Team Lead in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), providing technical guidance on microservices and observability and leading mentoring and hiring efforts. Prior experience includes the Site Reliability Engineer role at LogRhythm, where contributions were made to transition an on-premise solution to a GCP-based SaaS, and at Northrop Grumman, where leadership and mentoring were provided to various product teams.
