Tom McEvoy has a diverse work experience history with positions in various industries. In 2014, they began working as a Store Clerk at SuperValu Mountmellick, where they provided excellent customer service and developed strong client relationships. Tom then served as an Actuarial Intern at Aviva Life and Pensions Ireland in 2015, carrying out monthly data checks and contributing to financial reporting. At Aviva Stadium from 2012 to 2016, Tom worked as a Stadium Steward, delivering first-class client service and cultivating strong client relationships.
In 2016, Tom joined State Street as a Regulatory Reporting Analyst, where they provided reporting services and developed relationships with international clients. Tom then worked as an ESL Teacher at Wall Street English Vietnam from 2017 to 2018, teaching English to Vietnamese adults and planning classes based on student interests.
From 2019 to 2020, Tom served as a High School Mathematics Manager at EMG Education, overseeing a group of teachers and creating a new mathematics curriculum. In 2021, they joined Learnlife as a Software Developer, working remotely on a learning platform for students, engaging in code reviews, and implementing front-end integration tests.
Tom then took on the role of Software Engineer at 011h from 2022 to 2023, followed by their position as a Software Developer at Fallcha from 2020 to 2023. At Fallcha, they played a significant role in decision-making and feature development, built the app from scratch with control over its development and deployment, and integrated various technologies.
Most recently, in 2023, Tom became a Senior Software Engineer at Eventbrite.

- From 2011 to 2016, they attended Dublin City University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Actuarial Mathematics, specializing in Actuarial Science.
- In 2020, they completed two online courses from HarvardX. The first course was "CS50's Introduction to Computer Science" and the second course was "CS50's Web Programming with Python and JavaScript".
- Also in 2020, they pursued a Diploma in Full Stack Software Development from Code Institute.
- In 2017, they attended Kaplan International Dublin and received "The University of Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA)".
- Tom'ssecondary education took place from 2006 to 2011 at Mountmellick Community School, where they obtained a Leaving Certificate.
