Ian McDougall has extensive experience in the medical device industry. Ian began their career in 2000 as an Engineer/Co-Founder for BIU- Biomedical Innovations in Urology. From 2006 to 2018, they held various positions at Evasc Medical Systems, Neovasc Inc., Aegis Medical Innovations Inc., and ENDOSPAN. In 2012, they became the Chairman of the Board for the Medical Device Development Centre (MDDC) and the Chair of the UBC Mechanical Engineering Advisory Council. In 2015, they joined Alumni UBC as an Advisory Council Member and in 2017 they became an Advisor - Chief Technology Officer for Vesalius Cardiovascular.
Ian McDougall attended The University of British Columbia from 1992 to 1997 and obtained a degree in Applied Science with a field of study in Mechanical Engineering. Ian also attended Jasper Place Composite High.
