James Owen has a diverse work experience that spans different industries and roles. James started their career as a teacher at Live Oak High School and Pioneer High School, where they taught English to students in different grade levels. After transitioning to the corporate world, James joined Evans Data Corporation as an editor, where they focused on editing copy, quality assurance, and training new employees. James then moved on to become a Project Manager/Analyst, where they were responsible for questionnaire design, analysis, and presentation for various research projects. James later took on the role of Sr. Analyst, leading the Internet of Things Development Study and managing custom studies in the IoT sphere. Currently, James is representing himself as an author, working on editing their first novel for submission to a publishing firm.

James Owen earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature from Saint Mary's College of California from 2002 to 2006. James later completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Education at the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2007 to 2008.
