Simonetta La Grutta serves as Partner and Head of VAT at Bernoni Grant Thornton since May 2015, specializing in Italian and European VAT with significant expertise in domestic and international VAT advice, compliance projects, and optimization of VAT/cash flows. Additional roles include Partner responsible for People Hub at Grant Thornton International Ltd, member of the European VAT steering group and the European Indirect Tax Committee, and a researcher at Consiglio Nazionale dei Dottori Commercialisti e degli Esperti Contabili. As a professor at the Università degli Studi di Verona, Simonetta teaches international trade law and tax law. With a career that includes authorship for Fisco & Diritto and Dott. A. Giuffre' Editore Spa, and previous positions at EY as a VAT and Indirect Tax Partner, Simonetta has extensive experience across various industries including automotive, pharmaceuticals, and e-commerce. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Luiss Business School and completion of advanced programs at Harvard University and Harvard Business School, as well as accreditation as a coach/mentor from EMCC Global.
