Paul Timmers

Adjunct Professor at European University Cyprus

Paul Timmers is a distinguished academic and entrepreneur with extensive expertise in technology, policy, economy, and society. Currently serving as a Research Fellow at the Centre on Regulation in Europe (CERRE) and holding various professorial positions at institutions including KU Leuven, University of Oxford, and European University Cyprus, Paul is deeply involved in digital policy and cybersecurity. As CEO of iivii BV and a member of the Brown Bag Lunch Group, Paul advises on critical issues such as digital privacy and smart mobility. An independent scholar since 2017, Paul has also contributed to the field through engagements at Technische Universität Wien and the University of Rijeka. Paul holds advanced degrees including a PhD in Physics from Radboud University and an MBA from the University of Warwick.
