Raphael Ahren serves as the Press Manager and Policy Adviser at the European External Action Service since December 2020, overseeing media relations, communications activities, and public diplomacy for the European Union in Israel. Prior experience includes a tenure as a Diplomatic Correspondent at The Times Of Israel, where Raphael reported on Israel’s politics and interviewed global leaders. Earlier roles as a Reporter for Haaretz and as Assistant/Acting Editor at The Jewish Star involved producing news articles, managing editorial content, and engaging with the community. Raphael holds a Master of Science in Newspaper Journalism from Columbia University, a Master of Arts in Modern Jewish History, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, along with an Associate of Arts in Jewish/Judaic Studies from Yeshiva University.
