Dr. Emma Cooney is a highly experienced Senior Engineer at the European Space Resources Innovation Centre (ESRIC) since September 2023. Prior to this role, Dr. Cooney was self-employed from August 2021 to September 2023 and served as Head of Process Technology at Carbon Process and Plant Engineering from September 2012 to August 2021. Earlier career highlights include consulting in wastewater treatment, serving as a Senior Process Engineer and Project Manager at Tenix Alliance (formerly Environmental Solutions International Ltd.), and working as a Research Engineer at the CSIRO Division of Molecular Science. Dr. Cooney holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) with Honours from RMIT University and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Melbourne.
