Raquel Yumi Shida has extensive experience in web management and astronomical outreach. As the Head of the Web Team at The International Astronomical Union since November 2006, responsibilities include the design, development, and maintenance of multiple IAU-related websites. Additionally, Raquel manages website content and public communications. At the European Southern Observatory, also serving since November 2008, Raquel oversees the online presence and public publications related to astronomy. Previous positions include Web Content Manager at the Hubble European Information Centre and roles at the Astronomy Department of the University of São Paulo, as well as a research internship at NASA's Space Telescope Science Institute. Raquel holds a Bachelor and Professional Degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Universidade de São Paulo.
