Emanuela Ciattaglia has an extensive background in mechanical engineering and project management, currently serving as the Deputy AIV Manager for the European Southern Observatory since September 2008, where responsibilities include planning for the Assembly, Integration, and Verification activities of the European Extremely Large Telescope. Prior roles at the European Southern Observatory involve management of AIV activities for the ELT and mechanical engineering support for various subsystems, as well as contributions to the ALMA project. Previous experience includes positions at MAN as a development engineer focusing on truck and bus components, mechanical engineering work for the European Fusion Development Agreement related to the ITER project, and engineering roles at Oxford Instruments Superconductivity and UKAEA. Emanuela holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
