Alessandra Alteri has extensive experience in the field of reproductive medicine and embryology, currently serving as the Coordinator and Senior Deputy of the Special Interest Group Safety and Quality in ART (SQART) at the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology since July 2017. In addition, Alteri is a Senior Clinical Embryologist at Ospedale San Raffaele and holds the position of Adjunct Professor for the Biology course in the Bachelor's Degree in Obstetrics program at Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele. Previous roles include Clinical Embryologist at Clinica Villa Margherita SpA and a fellowship focused on skeletal muscle development and therapy. Alteri holds a PhD in Cellular and Developmental Biology from Sapienza Università di Roma, along with Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Genetics and Molecular Biology and Biological Sciences, respectively, from the same institution. Further academic pursuits are ongoing at Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II.
