Catherine Ross serves as Chief Scientific Officer at The Scottish Government since November 2020 and as a Non Executive Director at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. Catherine holds the role of President and Chair of the Policy Advisory Committee for the Science Council and has been a member of its Board of Trustees. Additionally, Catherine is a Visiting Professor at multiple universities including Manchester Metropolitan University and Ulster University. Catherine's involvement extends to the European Society of Cardiology, where significant positions include Chair of the ACNAP Nursing and Allied Professions National Societies Committee. Previous roles include Scientific Lead at NHS England and President of The Society for Cardiological Science and Technology. Catherine holds a Master of Science in Health Science from Ulster University.
