Ana Maria Gomez

President European Working Group Of Cardiac And Cellular Electrophysiology at European Society of Cardiology

Ana Maria Gomez has extensive experience in the field of cardiology and cellular electrophysiology. Ana Maria is currently serving as the Associate Editor for the Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology and is a member of the Editorial Board for the same journal. Additionally, they are the President of the European Working Group of Cardiac and Cellular Electrophysiology for the European Society of Cardiology, a role they have held since 2014. Ana Maria Gomez has also held positions as the Director of Laboratory UMR-S 1180 and Director of Research at Inserm. Ana Maria has served as a Chair for the Gordon Conferences on Muscle: Excitation-Contraction Coupling. Furthermore, Ana Maria Gomez has been involved in various advisory and board member roles, including serving on the Advisory Board for the Journal of General Physiology and as an Editorial Board Member for Cardiovascular Research. Ana Maria has been affiliated with the Université Paris-Saclay as a Member of the Life Sciences Department and as a Member of the Academic Council. Ana Maria has also served as the Vice Chair for the European Working Group of Cellular and Cardiac Electrophysiology. Ana Maria Gomez has further contributed to their field as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Michigan.

Ana Maria Gomez earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Pharmacology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where they studied from 1991 to 1994. Prior to this, they also completed their Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree at the same university from 1985 to 1990. Additionally, they obtained a H.D.R. (Habilitation to Direct Research) degree from Université de Montpellier 1, France, from 2000 to 2001. It is unclear when they attended Carmelitas de Toledo, but they possibly earned a BUP degree from there.
