Robab Breyer-Kohansal

Working Group Leader Des Clinical Research Collaboration Chronic Airway Diseases Early Strafication at European Respiratory Society

Robab Breyer-Kohansal currently serves as the Head of the Department for Respiratory and Lung Diseases at Klinik Hietzing, a position held since June 2022. Breyer-Kohansal is also a Key Researcher at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Lung Health and has been involved in teaching roles at both Sigmund Freud University and Medical University Vienna since 2015 and 2012, respectively. Additionally, Breyer-Kohansal leads a working group for the European Respiratory Society focused on clinical research collaboration in chronic airway diseases and has been the Head of Studies for the Austrian LEAD Study since 2012. Previous experience includes serving as a Senior Consultant at Penzing Hospital until July 2022. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from Medical University of Vienna and a Specialist degree in internal medicine/pneumology obtained at Penzing Hospital, alongside an associate professorship and a long-term fellowship in respiratory medicine from the European Respiratory Society.
