Jose Luis Mena is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in legal validation, procurement, and contract management across multiple organizations. Since September 2018, Jose Luis has served as Head of the Legal Validation Sector and Legal Validation Task Coordinator at the European Research Executive Agency. Previous positions include Contracts and Procurement Specialist at Fusion for Energy and Chief Procurement Officer at the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation ACP-EU. Jose Luis has held significant roles including Head of Contracting Unit and Deputy Head of Legal & Contracting Unit at the European Defence Agency, as well as Head of Procurement at the International Civilian Office of the European Union. Jose Luis possesses a robust academic background with a Master of Laws from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and additional qualifications in resource management and economics.
