Llinares Jordi began their work experience in 1997 as a Clinical Pharmacologist at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau. Llinares then joined the European Medicines Agency in 2002 and held various roles, including Scientific Administrator, Orphan Medicines Section Head, Head of Department of Product Development Scientific Support, and Head of Scientific and Regulatory Management. Their most recent role at the European Medicines Agency was Head of Research and Innovation Workstream.
Llinares Jordi completed their education with a Doctor of Medicine degree in Medicine from Universitat de Barcelona between 1986 and 1992. They then pursued a Masters in Science degree in Epidemiology from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine from 2003 to 2006. In between, from 1993 to 1997, they obtained a degree in Clinical Pharmacology, MIR, from Hospital Universitari de la Vall d'Hebron.
