Saul Pedraza has a diverse work experience in the energy industry, starting in 2008 with an internship as an R&D engineer in energy portfolio optimization at ENGIE. In 2009, they interned at Bouygues, focusing on supply chain optimization. In 2010, they worked as an R&D engineer at La Poste, specializing in supply chain optimization. Later that year, they joined GRTGAZ as an R&D engineer in system modeling at the National Dispatching Centre. From 2011 to 2017, Pedraza worked at the French Energy Regulator (CRE) as an analyst, conducting surveillance on wholesale energy markets and investigating potential breaches of regulations. Since 2017, they have held various roles at the European Energy Exchange AG, including Head of Market Surveillance and, most recently, Head of Data Analytics.
Saul Pedraza has a diverse education history. Saul began their studies in 2003 at Universidad de Los Andes, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Electronics in 2007. After that, they pursued a Master's degree in Operations Management in Production and Logistics at IMT Atlantique from 2007 to 2009. In 2010, they attended Mines Paris for a Specialised Master's degree in Energy Systems Optimization, completing their studies in 2011.
