Giuliano Basso has extensive experience in IT governance, consulting, and system architecture across various sectors, including public health and security. Currently serving in DATA Governance at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) since October 2022, Giuliano develops policies and procedures for IT applications related to information and document management. Prior roles include Freelance Senior Consultant at Uni Systems for the European Commission on Justice and Homeland Security, Senior Automation Engineer at GSK Vaccines Belgium focusing on IT solutions and cybersecurity, and Solution Architect at Bank Julius Baer with an emphasis on security within IT landscapes. Giuliano also contributed as a Senior Associate at Energy Solutions International - Emerson, playing a pivotal role in implementing the EUGas Project for the European Commission, and served as a Nuclear Inspector, focusing on the security of nuclear data exchanges. Giuliano completed a Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Università degli Studi di Padova and furthered studies at Università Ca' Foscari Venezia.
