Stanimir Dimov began their career as a Watchkeeping Officer at Ernst Jacob GmbH & Co KG from September 2012 to August 2014. Stanimir then joined Euronav in November 2014 as a Navigational Watchkeeping Officer and later became the Chief Officer in October 2018.

Stanimir Dimov earned their Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Certification as an Officer in Charge of Navigational Watch from the Naval Academy Nikola Vaptsarov in Bulgaria, which they attended from 2007 to 2011.
