Mei Hong has a long history of work experience, beginning in 1989 with a role as a Research Associate at the Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Mei then moved to Stanford University School of Medicine in 1997 as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. In 1998, they became a Research Specialist at Chiron Corp., and in 1999, a Support Scientist at DoubleTwist Inc. In 2002, Mei Hong joined Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics, Inc. as a Forensic Scientist, and was later promoted to Patent Agent I and Senior Patent Agent. In 2014, they moved to Cooley LLP as a Patent Agent, and in 2015, to DuPont Industrial Biosciences-Genencor/Danisco as a Patent Agent. Finally, in 2016, Mei Hong joined Eureka Therapeutics, Inc. as an IP Manager, and was later promoted to Director and Senior Director of Intellectual Property.
Mei Hong received their Ph.D. in Microbiology from The University of Texas at Austin between 1991 and 1997. From 1985 to 1989, they obtained their B.S. in Biochemistry from Fudan University. Mei also attended Fudan Affiliated High School.
