Joaquín Rodríguez-Guerra has work experience in different roles and companies. In 2008, they started working at GMV Aerospace and Defense as an Earth Observation Applications Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented User Services for various programs and clients. From 2014 to 2019, they worked at GMV Insyen AG as an MTG Archive and Data Services Engineer Consultant at EUMETSAT, where they were responsible for coordination of the Data Centre Operations Engineering Service and supporting the preparation of MTG V&V activities and commissioning. Since 2019, they have been working at EUMETSAT as a Data Centre Operations Engineer.

Joaquín Rodríguez-Guerra attended Eastern Randolph High School in North Carolina, USA from 2001 to 2002. Joaquín then continued their education at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and a Computer Science Engineering degree. Their studies at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid spanned from 2003 to 2008.
